SOME PICTURES ARE UP!
How to get your photos on the fancy-shmancy site
If you used a digital camera and want to be cyber-cool:
- Join flickr. It's free for the first 20MB each month
- Post your wedding pictures
- Add Luke (dogwelder) or Katherine (wiseacre) as a contact.
- When we see you've added one or both of us , we'll send you an invite to the secret fancy-shmancy flickr group. Join the group.
- Add your pictures to the group!
If flickr seems a little intimidating, call me (or your local computer geek) to walk you through it.
If you used a digital camera and more than 20MB worth of pictures (or you don't want to join flickr) , you can do one of the following:
- Post them somewhere on the web (either on a site of yours, or on some other photo-sharing site) and send me the link. You might already have some "free" picture hosting space through your Internet Service Provider. If you're not sure, ask a geek (like me).
- Pay for the Flickr pro account (only do this if you plan to use it for more than our wedding- it costs $25 bucks a year)
- Burn your pics to a CD and send 'em to us. We'll reimburse your postage.
- E-mail us to work out some alternate file transfer method.
If you used one of those crazy "film" cameras:
- God bless you! Film rocks.
- When you have your film developed, have the developer put the pictures on a CD, and use one of the methods above to get the pics to us. If you are an uber-hardcore film user who actually develops and prints the pictures yourself, print the ones you like and mail 'em to us.
If you created detailed oil paintings of the event:
- You are a nut.
If you are worried that your pictures won't be good enough, Here are a couple of the pictures we have so far (click 'em and they'll get bigger):
